Bob Jones is a visual artist. He was born in Los Angeles in 1952 and received his MA in Sculpture from San Jose State University. He is a founding member of Works, an artist-run exhibition space in San Jose, and is a former board member of Pro-Arts in Oakland, CA. He has participated in residencies at Artpark in Lewiston NY, the Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito CA, as well as the Capp Street Project in San Francisco, and is a recipient of a National Endowment of the Arts Individual Artists Grant. His objects and installations have been exhibited throughout the Bay Area as well as in Los Angeles and New York. His current work investigates our shifting relationship to Mars. He currently lives and works in Vallejo, California.
